PETZL NOMIC – Ice Climbing

The ice climbing tool NOMIC from Petzl is versatile. It can be adapted according to your tour, thanks to its modular concept. The NOMIC is perfectly balanced and has an impressive swing and punch. The weight of the PUR’ICE pick allow it to penetrate even the hardest ice. The ergonomic handle ensures the NOMIC’s comfortable grip, as do the shaft and the GRIPREST finger rest. The NOMIC adapts to any hand size with its three adjustment positions.

NOMIC – Versatile ice tool

Petzl offers the ultimate ice tool for ice climbing with the NOMIC. The NOMIC is perfectly balanced and has heel weights that ensure excellent swing performance. The shaft, which is curved below the head, facilitate hooking. Furthermore, the 3mm tapered PUR’ICE hook ensures a secure placement in any ice. It penetrates even the hardest ice with ease and the serrated top for inverted positions provides good grip. Petzl has optimized the flywheel mass and impact force of the NOMIC with the help of the MASSELOTTE – weights. The comfortable handling of the NOMIC and design are ideal for technical ice climbing. Thanks to the double handle, you can exercise different holding positions and grip safely. So that the hand is protected from the ice, Petzl has angled the lower handle of the NOMIC, whereas the ergonomically shaped upper handle, with its two-component material, provides excellent grip. In addition, the opening in the shaft of the NOMIC is compatible with the elastic trap line V – Link. The hydroformed shaft gives grip security in the middle of the shaft. In addition, the NOMIC fits comfortably in the hand thanks to the adjustable GRIPREST finger rest. You can customize the NOMIC from Petzl, thanks to the modular head, according to your tour. The shovel and hammer of the NOMIC are also interchangeable. A small hammer allows you to hammer hooks and protects the head.
